The 2024 Haval H9 SUV features a boxy aesthetic with stable body lines and rounded headlights, embodying a classic "box" shape that not only carries forward the family design but also exudes a rugged presence. The large chrome grille enhances the vehicle's premium feel, while the robust front hood and bumper instill a sense of safety.

On the side, similar to many high-end off-road vehicles, the H9 showcases angular designs with a continuous cutline running from the hood along the body, creating a three-dimensional waistline. The flared wheel arches contribute to its tough SUV character. The new model employs a short front and rear overhang with a long wheelbase, ensuring ample interior space. The blacked-out window frames and roof rails add a touch of modernity. Dimensions for the new model are 5070mm in length, 1976mm in width, and 1930mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. It also offers electric side steps for easier entry and exit.

The overall design of the 2024 Haval H9 SUV is boxy and rugged. The front features a sturdy multi-slat grille paired with retro-style round headlights on both sides, giving it a more recognizable look and a strong off-road character.

In contrast to the exterior, the interior is more futuristic and tech-forward, featuring a 14.6-inch 2K HD display with multiple apps. It also offers Huawei HiCar for vehicle connectivity and is equipped with an L2-level driving assistance system, including ACC adaptive cruise control.

At the rear, the classic externally mounted spare tire design makes it instantly recognizable as a rugged SUV, complementing the sturdy rear bumper. The taillights have a retro design with a unique split layout. The rear door opens sideways for added convenience. The vehicle provides ten modification spaces, including provisions for a front winch, wading pipe installation, and additional fuel tank space.

Inside, the rugged theme continues, with a grab handle on the passenger side as a signature feature of tough SUVs. The dashboard lines are straightforward, and physical buttons are retained for ease of use during off-road driving. The interior includes a 2K HD 14.6-inch screen and high-fidelity surround sound. The front seats offer 50W wireless charging, and the vehicle is available in both five- and seven-seat versions. The seats are made from skin-friendly tech leather, thickly padded with an additional 10mm of comfort foam for support. Features include heating, ventilation, and a massage function (only for the front seats), along with a panoramic sunroof. The five-seat version has a trunk capacity of 791 liters, expandable to 1814 liters with the second row folded. The trunk also features a 220V power outlet upgraded to 400W for camping needs.

In terms of performance, the 2024 Haval H9 SUV is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged gasoline engine producing a maximum power of 224 horsepower (165 kW) and a peak torque of 385 Nm, paired with an 8AT transmission from ZF. It also offers an L2-level driving assistance system, including adaptive cruise control, intelligent cruise assistance, lane keeping, collision warning, AEB, blind spot monitoring, and lane change assistance. The vehicle has a 31-degree approach angle, a 26-degree departure angle, a wading depth of 800mm, and a ground clearance of 224mm, capable of climbing a 45-degree slope. In low-speed four-wheel-drive mode, torque can be amplified by 2.64 times, increasing torque capacity from 1200N·m to 1900N·m.
