The front face of the SAIC Maxus T70 features a brand new octagonal matrix grille, complemented by lens headlights and LED daytime running lights, offering a striking visual impact. On the side of the vehicle, prominent wheel arches, metallic side steps, and chrome rear-view mirrors add a rugged yet refined touch.

The SAIC Maxus T70 comes in two versions: standard box and long box. The standard box measures 5365mm in length, 1900mm in width, 1809mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3165mm. The long box version is 5680mm long, 1900mm wide, 1809mm high, with a wheelbase of 3470mm.

For the interior, the SAIC Maxus T70 adopts a red and black large-area patchwork color scheme, covered in soft materials, balancing both sight and touch.

The design of the secondary dashboard and air vents have also been refined, enhancing the quality of the details. Additionally, the vehicle features front seat heating, an electric sunroof, 360° panoramic imaging, and 4/6 foldable rear seats. There's also an optional 10.25-inch floating LCD touchscreen with an intelligent network system that encompasses real-time navigation, voice control, and online entertainment, among other rich features.

Under the hood, the SAIC Maxus T70 is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum output of 163 horsepower (120kW) and peak torque reaching 400N·m. Moreover, the 2022 Australian version of the T70 comes with a BorgWarner part-time four-wheel-drive system, allowing for switches between two-wheel drive, high-speed four-wheel drive, and low-speed four-wheel drive. It also offers an optional rear axle differential lock. Along with these features, the new vehicle is also equipped with a combination of intelligent driving assistance systems including ESP, HAC, and HDC.
