SAIC Maxus MIFA 7 EV

The SAIC Maxus MIFA 7 EV is positioned for the pure electric mid-sized MPV market. As an electric model, it characteristically features a fully enclosed front, sharp and robust lines, and a voluminous design that appears imposing. The continuous daytime running lights, combined with vertical LED headlights, form a "π" shape, creating a visually aggressive appearance. The presence of cameras and radar modules on the windshield, front air intake, and fenders suggest a feature-rich assisted driving system.

The charging port is located on the right front side of the vehicle. The MIFA 7 EV also adopts the currently trendy electronic rearview mirror, with an official optional cost of 5,000 yuan. It offers a broader angle than conventional mirrors, enhancing the tech appeal.

Five-spoke rims with full wheel covers contribute to aerodynamic efficiency. The front and rear tires, sized 225/55 R18, have a thicker sidewall. While visually less dramatic, they help absorb road irregularities, enhancing comfort.

The fully enclosed front face of the SAIC Maxus MIFA 7 EV remains its distinctive feature, characterized by sharp and robust lines. Its square and full-bodied design also gives a visually commanding presence.

Inside the SAIC Maxus MIFA 7 EV, what catches the eye most is the integrated screen system comprised of three 12.3-inch displays, embedded with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset and the Zebra Intelligent Drive system.

The side profile retains the traditional MPV silhouette, solid and full-bodied. Rear side windows use tinted glass for increased privacy. The design cleverly hides the C and D pillars and the sliding door tracks. With concealed door handles, it offers a clean and streamlined look.

With dimensions of 4907mm in length, 1885mm in width, and 1768mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2975mm, the vehicle isn't large, making it suitable for most commercial facility underground garages. The rear design, like most MPVs, is vertically straight. The smoked tail light assembly, combined with the central connecting light strip, is both minimalistic and cool.

Inside, the most eye-catching feature is the combined screen system, comprised of three 12.3-inch screens, integrated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip Zebra Zhixing system. The main and co-pilot doors also feature interior screens for the electronic rearview mirror (optional), giving the cabin a strong tech ambiance. The interior design is elegantly minimalist, with extensive leather covering the central console and the central channel area, offering a luxurious feel.

Additionally, the interior boasts features like a JBL sound system, facial recognition camera, and wireless phone charging. The wireless charging panel also features touch control buttons for functions like sliding door controls, air conditioning, and door locks, allowing easy accessibility.

The seven-seat version has a 2+2+3 seat layout, with a 6-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and a 6-way adjustable passenger seat. The six-seat version adopts a 2+1+3 configuration, with only a left-side seat in the second row. This version enhances the co-pilot seat to a "Queen Stretch Seat" with integrated seat belts and leg supports.

The second row in the six-seater is rich in features, including standard electric adjustments and leg supports, heated seats, individual air-conditioning controls, a refrigerator, and small desks.

The third-row seats are thick and ensure comfort. Their backrests have a 4/6 split-fold feature, allowing significant expansion of storage space when folded, making it feasible for travel with four people and multiple pieces of luggage.

In terms of power, the SAIC Maxus MIFA 7 EV uses a front-mounted single motor layout, with a permanent magnet synchronous motor boasting a maximum power of 180 kW and a peak torque of 350 Nm. Paired with it are two Tera SAIC ternary lithium batteries, with capacities of 77kWh and 90kWh. Under the CLTC cycle, their ranges are 527 kilometers and 605 kilometers, respectively.
